On Monday, I had the opportunity to speak about self-care at the Reiki: Language of Self-Care Workshop. It was quite an honor for me to meet William Rand, Founder of the International Reiki Center, who was the main presenter at the event.
I am a huge advocate of self-care, and I teach it in all of my coaching programs. As I was preparing my speech "Wholeness of Spirit" it was a great opportunity to be reminded about how important daily self care for the mind, body and soul is to our well-being and quality of life. Self-Care is more than daily hygiene.
When you are experiencing stress, anxiety, poor health, bad relationships, chaos, drama and any other things in your life that you don't want, it's time to step-up your self-care.
When you make a daily self-care routine for mind, body and soul, you are making you a priority and declaring your value to the Universe.
What's important about declaring your value to the Universe?
As you know, the energy you put out is the energy you get back. When you declare your value to the Universe, and take the actions to back-up the declaration, you will receive increased value back from the Universe and the world around you.
You'll achieve your goals with greater ease, you'll be healthier, happier and deepen your relationships. You will see opportunities for increase. Increase of time, money and resources.
I know you are busy and the concept of adding more to your day may seem overwhelming. Here are 3 simple steps to fit some more self-care in & make it enjoyable:
1. Look at everything you are doing and see if you can let go of something. There is probably something on your list that you can delegate to someone else or that is no longer serving you and you can stop doing it all together. This will free up some time for additional self-care.
2. Put your self care time on your calendar. This is an appointment with the most important person in your life - YOU! Make this appointment non-negotiable. Do not miss it for anything. This is definitely declaring your value.
3. Improve the quality of things you are already doing. For example, you are taking time to eat, so make sure you are eating high-quality nutritious food; or, when you are showering, be very present and use nice soaps and products that smell good and make you feel good.
These are 3 simple ways of increasing your self-care, claiming your value and improving your life.
"When I signed up for Janice's 90-Day Total Transformation Program, I had never invested the time or the money in a program that was just for me. I was taking care of my daughter and my client's and business, but not giving myself any attention. Since going through this program, I have lost 25 lbs and have more energy. The biggest change I have noticed is in my empowerment. It is apparent to me and others around me. I am more open and less resistant to change. I see a future for myself that is attainable. It will happen if I say it will. This program is not something I would have ever sought out, and I did it on a whim, but it has changed my life completely for the better and for that I will be forever be grateful.
