Before working with Janice, I was not feeling good. Physically, I was tired and easily out of breath. My clothes were getting too tight and I was grouchy and pissed off. I used food as an emotional tool to feel better when I was angry, sad or stressed.
After working with Janice for just the last few months, I realize that food has been a substitute for other things I was missing. I have learned to listen to my body and know what it is asking for regarding nourishment. I know the right food for me to eat and have the tools to handle my emotions in ways that are more favorable than eating. I have deepened my relationships with my kids and now enjoy having meals with them, being present with them and showing them new healthy habits and patterns.
I now know that I am worth it and deserve to nurture myself. When I do this I am a better parent, wife, daughter, teacher, etc.
In the past, losing weight has been a struggle, and I always gained it back. Now having worked with Janice, I know I am creating healthy lasting habits and mindset shifts that will have the weight naturally falling off. It is about so much more than food.
When I look back at the moment I made the decision to do this for myself, I feel more confident by knowing that I can lose weight by making the right choices for myself.
